Metro Blooms is a Twin Cities organization that “promotes and celebrates gardening, to beautify our communities and protect our environment.” One of their annual projects is a Rain Garden Workshop, where homeowners come to learn about rain gardens and how to add one to their yard. I’m working with them this spring & summer as a Landscape Design Assistant. It’s part-time work, primarily weekends & evenings – probably about 80-100 hours over the course of the season – but I’ll be helping people design gardens that reduce stormwater runoff. I think it’s going to be great fun, and I’m really looking forward to it.
