Apple sucks(?)

Apple is really particular about what qualifies as warranty work.

A previous version of the MacBook Air has a problem with defective hinges, but the company doesn’t feel it’s their problem, and will charge you $800 to fix it.

This makes me less inclined to buy one of their products.

  1. Just wait for the MacBook Air owners to file a class action lawsuit. Apple will probably settle and offer a refund to people who already paid for the repair and honor the warranty for new repairs.
